The Staff: Little Sand Group Homes has a professional, full-time staff, including live in house parents, who provide individual residents with a supportive, consistent, and structured living environment. The programs unique family-living atmosphere gives each resident the opportunity to experience positive role modeling, and develop healthy relationship skills with adults and peers.
Case management, treatment planning, and implementation of each residents goals are facilitated by Little Sand Case Management staff. Their responsibilities are to coordinate the services and resources needed to meet the child's individual program needs. In addition, Little Sand Group Homes employs additional support staff whose responsibilities include scheduling appointments, record keeping, and other clerical and organizational duties. All full-time staff participate in a mandatory orientation and are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education each year. Crisis prevention, therapeutic intervention, diversity training, and Emergency Skills/CPR training are provided in-house annually.
